Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website, dietshaala.com, is run by Diet Shaala by Ankita Bajaj ("Diet Shaala", "we", "us"), a nutrition and health-coaching practice based at Crescent Care, 27th Cross, 19th Main Road, Sector 2, HSR Layout, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560102, India.

2. Information we collect

What we collect depends on how you use the site:

• Your account: your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number. If you set a password, we store only a scrambled (hashed) version, never the password itself.
• Signing in with Google: if you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address and a Google account ID with us. See section 4.
• Signing in with an email code: we send a one-time code to your email address. We store only a scrambled version of the code, and it expires after 10 minutes.
• Health questionnaire: your age, gender, city, height, weight, food preferences, activity level, and any health conditions, medications or goals you choose to tell us about.
• 30-Day Challenge: the date you joined, which daily habits you tick, and any weight you choose to enter. Entering your weight is always optional.
• Courses and purchases: the courses you buy, your order details and your lesson progress.
• Webinar registrations: your name, email address, WhatsApp number and your answers to two short questions about your situation.
• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, the health concern you pick, and your message.
• Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, and which pages you visit, collected automatically.

We never see or store your card or bank details. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay on its own secure systems. We receive only a confirmation that you paid, and the order reference.

3. How we use your information

• To create and run your account and sign you in.
• To deliver the programmes, courses, challenges and webinars you sign up for.
• To prepare and adjust your nutrition guidance, using what you tell us about your health.
• To send you what you asked for: sign-in codes, order confirmations, webinar links and reminders.
• To reply to your questions and support you.
• To send you health tips and news about our programmes, if you have agreed to this. You can stop these at any time (see section 8).
• To understand how the site is used, fix problems and improve it.
• To keep the site secure and prevent fraud and misuse.

4. Signing in with Google

If you use "Continue with Google", we receive only your name, email address and Google account ID. We do not receive your Google password, and we cannot see your contacts, emails, files or anything else in your Google account.

We use this information only to sign you in and to link you to your Diet Shaala account. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone for their own purposes. You can remove Diet Shaala's access at any time from your Google account's security settings. You can still sign in with an email code after that.

Our use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

5. Your health information

Health details are sensitive, and we treat them that way. What you share in the health questionnaire, and the progress you record in our challenges, is used only to guide your nutrition and coaching. We never use it for advertising or sell it, and only Diet Shaala's coaching team can see it.

Our guidance is general nutrition and lifestyle coaching. It does not replace advice from your doctor.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site, and only as much as each one needs:

• Razorpay, to process payments.
• Google, for sign-in (if you choose it), Google Meet webinar sessions and Google Analytics.
• Meta (Facebook), for the Meta Pixel, which helps us measure how well our ads work.
• Ringg.ai, which places an automated reminder phone call before a webinar you registered for. It receives your name and phone number.
• WhatsApp, for community groups and messages you agreed to receive.
• Our website hosting and email providers, who store the site's data and deliver our emails.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. We may also share information if the law requires it.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use:

• Essential cookies to keep you signed in and keep forms secure. The site does not work properly without them.
• Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how the site performs.
• Meta Pixel to measure the results of our advertising.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in.

8. Messages from us

We contact you by email and WhatsApp, and before a webinar you registered for, with an automated reminder call. You can stop marketing messages at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any email, reply "STOP" on WhatsApp, leave the WhatsApp group, or write to us. We will still send messages you need to use a service, such as sign-in codes and order confirmations.

9. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active, and for as long as we need it to provide our services and meet our legal and accounting obligations. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes. When you ask us to delete your data, we delete it unless the law requires us to keep part of it (for example, payment records).

10. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your data and close your account;
• withdraw your consent, including stopping marketing messages.

Write to dietshaalabyankita@gmail.com from the email address on your account. We will reply as soon as we can, and within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our reply, you can contact the Data Protection Board of India.

11. Security

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords and sign-in codes are stored only in scrambled form, and access to member data is limited to our team. No website can be completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act quickly if a problem arises.

12. Children

Our website and accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. If you share information about a child or teenager, for example for our teenage programme, please do so as their parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data directly from anyone under 18.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the effective date at the top. If we make an important change, we will tell registered members by email.
